Literacy Reflection

Word Work: This week for Word Work as usual I have done my origins, sentences and meanings of the words. Here is my work

Writing: This week for writing we had to pick a family member and write a descriptive writing piece about them. I had a really hard time picking who I was going to write about. In this work I had to describe what my family member looked like what their personality was like and more. My WALT is use precise and descriptive words to describe the image/ person. Here is my work:

Topic/ Matariki: This week and last week me a buddy (Alyssa) made a slide show about Matariki. We put two stories of Matariki on and we also added some information. I thought that doing this activity was really fun. Here is my work   

Reading: This week for reading me and my group read a book in a school journal called Katie's mum. I buddied up with Katelynn and made a slide with her and put down the main points of the book on the slide. In this slide show there is animation things so if there is a blank page just press the next button or just let it play. Here is my work:

Numeracy/Topic Reflection

This week for numeracy/topic I have completed a google map with lots of the world's worst tornadoes. I had to plot some pictures on and explain what happened when the tornado hit and went away, and what destruction it did.

Explorer- This week for the explorer topic I have made a google drawing about the Eiffel tower I have written quite alot about it. I really liked doing this. Here it is.

First Athlete

This week we have been doing Olympic based things like Olympic athletes profiles this top one Misha Koudinov, I've learnt facts about him and before this I never knew Misha Koudinov existed before now. In the process of making this google drawing like all the others I needed a background colour,  I needed word art and I needed to research to find information about the athletes.  

Second Athlete

This is the second athlete profile that I've done. Her name is Eliza McCarteny. She does pole vault which is awesome, imagine doing pole vault yourself

Third Athlete

For the last athlete profile I've done Elizabeth Cui.

She's a diver which is awesome.

I can't wait to learn more about Elizabeth.

 

Speech

This week also I have done my speech, it's about my dog, and my dogs name is Skyla. I didn't really know what other topic I could have done so I did Skyla.

This term I have been making a visual mihi. Exactly what visual mihi is and means is it is a slide show of things about my self but they are written in Maori ( except for the names ).

Term 3 Week 3 Reflection Topic/Literacy - Olympics

Compare and Contrast
This week I've done a compare and contrast sheet. I have written down what's different and what's the same about Ancient and Modern Olympics. I did this with two other people ( Lara and Caitlyn )

Numeracy.

Topic
This is my Banqer account. This is how I have been gaining money in class to do more things ( not real money ). Next week with my money I would like to get the bean bag for a week (its 250 dollars).

Reflection week 7

Have you ever thought how electricity is made?

I have learnt that some electricity is made by water its is not as simple as it sounds there is lots of tricky things with making electricity


We read a story called don't waste the water. I learnt that people in different country's do much more work than others and some people have to work every day to get water for their family

I have learnt that knowing your times tables and addition also halfing can help with maths problems like this and make it so much easier.
