For cross country is was in year groups and girls and boys were in separate rounds too. There were also obstacles this time round and you will have to read my writing to find out. Here is my work:

Athletics Reflection Grey Main And Grey District 2017 T4

Athletics

For the last while through the term we have been doing Athletics. I have been through four stages of the athletics but I am going to write about the first two. For the Athletics it was girls verse girls and boys verse boys and there were age groups too. Here are the 2/4 stages of the Athletics I went through:

Grey Main Athletics

For Grey Main Athletics it was just Grey Main. No other people from other schools joined. I was in the 10 year old girls group with quite a few other girls. I wasn't their for long because I had something on but I did stay for short distance running and high jump.

For the short distance running (i think it was 80 meters) we all lined up in our rows and when the teacher set of the gun we started running. In the end I think i got either fourth or third.

For High Jump we lined up on either side of the jump and when the person called out a name we jumped. We had to do scissor jump for it and if we did another type it wouldn't count. I think i got either third or second place overall in that.

Grey District

For Grey District I got in for High jump and Short distance running. For the Grey District one it was all the school kids from Greymouth that joined.

We did the short distance running and someone jumped lines in my race so that confused me so I practically lost the race.

For High Jump I did quite well and ended up getting first place. I'm not sure quite how high I jumped but I do know it was high up.

Numeracy Reflection T3W7 2017

Numeracy Reflection

Frac-Ge-Bot: This week my maths class made 2D robots on our google drive. We had to design our robots with the following shapes: Squares, Rectangles, Triangles, Circles, Hexagons, Pentagons and Diamonds. I didn't use all of those shapes but I did use some and we also had to colour it.
Now for the maths part, so for all the shapes (and colours) we had to make a fraction out of them. For example lets say I used 10 shapes and 4 of them were circles, that would be 4/10 circles.

Here is my work:

Fraction Problem Solving: This week we got given a slide show (different for each math group) and we had to fill out the questions. As you may have seen the slide show was based on fractions. These questions were fun and easy to do.
Here is my work:

Writing Reflection T3W5 2017

Writing Reflection

Video Notes: This week on a site called video notes allowed us to write down things whilst watching a video. The video we watched was salmon life cycle. We had to write down what we heard and put it in our own words. Here are is the facts I've gathered.

Salmon are one of the most prized fish in New Zealand. In December you might see some salmon in the water.

Salmon spend two years at sea and come back for a month so they can go to their spawning ground.Whilst doing this they try to relax wherever they can to have a break from the strong corrunt.

When they get close to their spawning ground they all group together waiting for a good time.

They hang quite close together.

The fish have become dark they haven't eaten since they were at sea.

The hens are female salmon the jacks are boy salmon.

The hen make a hole in the ground for the eggs when she is ready to lay the eggs jacks will fertilize it. The jacks will fight off other jacks.

They lay eggs up to 4 thousand per time.

The baby salmon are smaller than a 10c coin.

The next time you will see them they will be a big size.

Literacy Reflection

Miss Reissmann Description: This week we did some writing as for last week it was Miss Reissmanns Birthday, which then we wrote some stuff about her which ended up being a whole description. We wrote about what she looked like and things about her and more. Here is my work:

In a small town called Grey mouth, there lives a woman named Helga Reissmann. She has hair that is blonde with golden flecks and streaks of brown and icy sky blue eyes. She wears such nice clothes which make her shine in the dark . She also has these terrifying earrings which I myself do not want to go into detail with.

A thing with Helga Reissmann is that she always wears high heels which is a bit typical (no meaning to be rude). She has three children named Jasmine, Telisha & Cole, Jasmine is 26 years old, Telisha is 24 and Cole is 21.

Helga Reissmann Is very tall and quite medium skinny which means she is quite skinny. Her two favorite colours are black and brown and if i’m being precise chocolate brown. Helga Reissman also has a dog which is called Millie (i’m not sure if that’s the right way to spell it).

Overall Helga Riessman Is an awesome person and teacher which makes her AMAZING.

The End

Journal Leave Summary: A week or more ago me and my literacy group read a book called leave. We chose this book and now we are writing a summary of the book. For the summary we had to write the main ideas and bits about the book. Here is my work:

Top Team Bonus Reflection T1W10 2017

Top Team

Intro
This week the whole school did Top Team Games. Your school might have done this and if you have you would know. Top Team is groups of people that go to different schools and set up fun activities for the kids to do. For an example there was a water game which we had to fill up a bucket of water and balance it on this stick thing and we had to try to get to the other end.

My Favorite part

My favorite activity for top team would have to be this game that was like a tunnel thing it was very hard to control but it was very fun. While we were doing this activity we kept falling over and it was quite funny. Here is a picture of some people doing it.

My Least favorite part
Despite that all of the activities were good there is always one that you would probably like the least. So my least favorite activity was the activity where we were in this sack with at least four other people, and for me it felt very crowded. I didn't hate this activity it just wasn't my favorite.

Writing: This week for writing the class has written written off story starters this website is called pobble 365. For the story starters I did mother of dragons it's about how zoya has a dragon which thinks zoya is her mother. I have not completely finished this writing but here is my work. Here is the link to pobble (The blue is the story starter).

Mother Of Dragons
When the dragon had hatched, crawling out of its shell onto her bed, Zoya knew that her life would never be the same again.
She had brought the dragon far away from her village; away from the people who would hurt it and take it away from her. As she held it in her hands, feeling its claws affectionately digging into her fingers through her gloves, Zoya knew that exactly what she had to do. What they had to do. Together.
The dragon gazed at her. She could see the flames burning within its eyes. It was totally dependant on her, as a new-born child is to its mother. And yet, strangely, she felt dependant upon the dragon as well; dependant upon what it was and what it would become in time.
They would become inseparable. Their futures were entwined. Their adventures were only just beginning…
This wasn’t the only dragon that zoya had bonded with before. She had once had another dragon but the people from her village took him away. That’s why she wasn’t sure if she
could take care of the new dragon.
Just while Zoya was thinking so many thoughts in her head, the dragon made the weirdest noise that anybody had ever heard. Then it all went silent for at least 2 minutes. Then she heard voices and for some reason she couldn’t help but think that she knew this person. It was her father. She hadn’t seen him for years and he must have come back to hear that Zoya was missing, he must have got out a search party. The only problem was that her father dislikes dragons and also wasn’t very fond of her, so she ran with her dragon.
